As a young child I was always curious. I always had to know the answers and I had a mind for learning new things. Whenever I did not know the answer, I would ask. As I grew, the answers became harder to find. My life became a series of uncharted events, or so I thought. Whenever something good or bad happened to me that was just so unbelievable I would ask why? My mother would always say “it was meant to be.” I always thought this answer was so silly. One time when I was seven years old, my mom and I were on our way home from a store and our tire went flat. We were on a highway, and my mom’s cell phone had died. As if the situation could not have gotten worse, it began to pour. So for about a half an hour we stood on the side of the road, soaking wet and out of luck. Then a young man came to our aid. He got out of his car and helped us put the spare tire on. My mom called him our little angel. Then, she said “It happened for a reason. “ I didn’t believe her words until we got in the car and turned on the radio. Not a half a mile from us there had been a truck accident exactly forty minutes ago. If my mom and I hadn’t broken down on the side of that road, I might not be here writing this story today. There have been so many other unexplainable moments in my life and now I know that they were all due to destiny.

i agree with both above: the beginning was unclear. this could work with OR against you. for me, it made me want to keep reading to clarify the story, but for some, they may get confused and not want to continue, know what i mean? anyway, i actually really liked the story. well done!

i agree with oliviah that moving and having different, difficult experiences come at you in life, makes you who you are today. i have only moved once in my life so i cannot relate, but this is a very common situation amoung people. i liked this story a lot because it showed a deeper connection to someone your age. well done.

this was a touching story. the fact that you have been through so much, yet you and your family are still strong and happy means the most. and i agree with butwills that your paper's message was a little off. nice job.

i did like this story and how there was so much history tied into it. but i do agree with drew that more of the story should include "what YOU believe." it would make it a more personal story and more moving. it was very creative though. well done.
